Why is my computer always bugging me about installing updates?

It is good practice to stay current on updates because these updates generally address security holes in software.  Not only should you install Windows updates, but many other applications release security updates.  These applications include Java, Adobe and internet browsers.

Microsoft releases updates for currently supported products on the second Tuesday of each Month.  This is commonly referred to as Patch Tuesday.  It is good practice to stay current on updates because these updates generally address security holes in software.

While these update warnings may seem like an inconvenience and waste of time, they will save much more time than if you are infected by spyware and viruses that could have been prevented by updates.
